My name is Tristan

My wonderful friend Brad named Tristan and I'm sure Tristan is very grateful. Let me just say, I've had two all black kitties - one was named Midnight and the other Blackie. Clearly I'm not very original at naming pets. Poor thing, left to me he might have been called Spot or Fido.

Brad and I were discussing possible German names and the minute he suggested Tristan, that was it. I know Brad suggested the name because of the opera "Tristan and Isolde" and I thought it was perfect. I love that it's also the name of the younger brother in James Herriot's wonderful books who is very sweet, very charming and a bit of a scamp. So for me the name Tristan is perfect for my perfect puppy.
