Brillo Pads for brunch
Cassie was a bad dog and gave her folks quite a scare AND a large vet bill. Cassie's folks are my neighbors and Tristan's godparents. Cassie is a Golden Retriever and service dog for their charming and delightful daughter.
Cassie, in the midst of the upheaval of some household rearranging, ate two Brillo Pads. I'm not sure how they discovered it but I met the father as he was getting Cassie in the car for the vet trip. Cassie had to have an endoscopy which retrieved a surprise third pad too. Luckily they were able to retrieve the bad brunch items without major surgery.
I'm so glad everything worked out well (except for that big vet bill). Cassie's folks are wonderful, amazing folks who are so kind and dedicated. They are so helpful and supportive with Tristan that I dubbed them his godparents and I treasure them as neighbors. Now Cassie just needs to go back to being a good girl, a great service dog and to lay off the self help buffet table. It's amazing what a dog will eat and how even the best trained dog may lapse.
