Thank you for dinner but no tofu please

Well, Tristan got my dinner (and several future lunches) tonight. On the way home from training today I stopped for Chinese take out. I set it down and when I came out to the kitchen, it was all gone. All gone except for a little carton of brown rice with tofu. Tristan very neatly and quietly opened the bag, took out the pork and chicken entrees and ate everything. He left the rice/tofu carton unopened and uneaten.

Meet the neighbors

I have lovely new neighbors. They bought the house next door and just moved in so I went over to welcome them to the neighborhood. Of course I was a bit nervous about how they feel about Tristan but they like him a lot and think he's very sweet. Tristan likes them too. He's immediately accepted that they belong next door. They said they hear Tristan occasionally but it's fine since he doesn't bark often. In fact, they didn't think he was outside very often since they don't hear him very much. Tristan actually spends a lot of time outdoors in the evenings but he's very good now about being quiet.

What a relief - especially after my angst in Tristan's early days caused by the one neighbor from a block over who complained after any woof. Turns out he's complained about every dog in the neighborhood. It's nice to have neighbors who are not overly sensitive and Tristan and I will continue to do our part to be good neighbors.
